TIRUMALA/TIRUPATI: Millions of devotees from across the globe visit Tirumala every day to catch a glimpse of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. To manage the heavy influx of pilgrims and ensure a transparent darshan experience for common devotees, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is constantly modernizing its digital services. This report provides an in-depth look at the online booking process, available services, and the mandatory guidelines for pilgrims.
Official Platforms: Beware of Fraudulent Websites
Devotees are strongly advised to book darshan, accommodation, and seva tickets only through the TTD official website and mobile app.
- Official Website: https://ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in
- Mobile App: TTDevasthanams (Available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store).
Primary Darshan Categories and Booking Methods
TTD releases quotas for various types of darshan on a monthly basis:
- Special Entry Darshan (₹300): This is the most popular category, released three months in advance. It is the best option for devotees seeking a quicker darshan experience.
- SRIVANI Trust: Devotees who donate ₹10,000 to the trust are eligible for a VIP Break Darshan by paying an additional ₹500 for the ticket. This can also be obtained offline at the Gokulam Guest House.
- Arjitha Sevas (Lucky Dip): Special rituals like Suprabhatam, Thomala, Archana, and Astadala Pada Padmaradhana are allotted through an online lucky dip. Devotees must register their names to participate in the automated selection process.
- Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD): This is free darshan. Tokens for SSD are issued physically at counters in Tirupati (Bhudevi Complex, Srinivasam, and Vishnunivasam) on a first-come, first-served basis.
